About Nuwea Ben Modika

Nuwea has some 20 years of professional experience in print and audio-visual journalism. He has been working with the state broadcaster, the Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV since 2003 where he serves as the Editor-in-chief of the Adamawa Regional station in Ngaoundere. During the last 15 years there he has covered local an international conflicts and wars which have led to huge loss of lives and property and the displacement of persons: Expulsion of Cameroonians from Equatorial Guinea into the South Region and the displacement of the people of Bawock following the destruction of their village during the Baki-Bawock conflict. Since 2011, he has been in the front line of the coverage of the influx of refugees from the troubled Central African Republic into the East and Adamawa Regions and the different humanitarian actions in their favour. Nuwea Ben Modika has earned quite some awards and Fellowships, and trained some 300 interns and younger colleagues.
