Gabrielle Nina Mitch is a freelance journalist based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She started her journalism career in 2006 as a full-time reporter, language translator and TV and radio news presenter at Mwangaza Radio and TV. She has been acknowledged twice by different organizations of her country for her well done work. In 2008 she received her first award as best TV news presenter followed by her second award as best language translator in 2011.She was previously a fellow for the International Journalism Program, spending two months in Germany, and was an intern at Deutsche Welle in Bonn. She reports on politics, justice, health, agriculture, energy and environment, economics, mining and human rights issues.
